Welcome to DualBook: Finance & Ledger ("DualBook", "we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using the app.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DualBook, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use or install the application.
2. User Account and Authentication

Account Creation: To access secure cloud synchronization, automated backups, and multi-device access, you must authenticate your account using Google Sign-In.
•
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google Account and your mobile device. DualBook is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your device or Google Account.
•
Identity Verification: We use your Google profile information (Email and Name) solely for identity verification and to link your data to your specific account.
3. Service Scope & Connectivity Policy

Local-First Functionality: DualBook follows a "Local-First" approach. You may view existing financial records and generated reports offline without an internet connection.
•
Internet Connection Requirement: An active internet connection is mandatory to add, edit, or modify transactions, sync data with the cloud, or perform account verification. This ensures data integrity and security.
4. Financial Disclaimer & User Responsibility

Record-Keeping Tool: DualBook is strictly a digital ledger and financial tracking tool for personal and small business use.
•
No Financial Advice: DualBook does NOT provide professional financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice. We are not a financial institution or a money lender.
•
Data Accuracy: You are solely responsible for the accuracy of all entries and transactions. We are not liable for any financial discrepancies, business losses, or legal liabilities arising from your use of the app.
5. Advertisements & Third-Party Services
•
Ad Integration: DualBook may display advertisements provided by third-party networks (e.g., Google AdMob).
•
Third-Party Links: Clicking on advertisements or third-party links will take you outside DualBook. We do not control or endorse the content or privacy practices of these external services.
6. Data Ownership, Backup, and Deletion

Data Ownership: You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the app.
•
Backup & Recovery: We provide encrypted private cloud sync via Firebase and support Android Auto Backup. However, we advise users to maintain personal backups of critical financial records.
•
Account & Data Deletion: You have the right to permanently delete your account and all associated cloud/local data at any time via the "Delete Account & Data" option in settings. This action is permanent and unrecoverable.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
All software design, logos, branding ("DualBook"), and source code are the exclusive property of the developer (Luminexy). You may not reverse engineer, modify, or distribute any part of the app without prior written consent.
8. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:

Violate any laws or regulations while using the app.
•
Attempt to bypass or compromise app security or data integrity.
•
Use automated scripts to inject data or spam the ecosystem.
9. Termination of Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to cloud services if you breach these Terms or engage in fraudulent activities.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DualBook and its developers shall not be liable for:

Errors or inaccuracies in user-inputted data.
•
Loss of data due to device loss or user negligence.
•
Temporary service outages or loss of internet connectivity.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
