("DualBook", "we", "our", or "us"). By downloading, installing, or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using the app.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DualBook, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use or install the application.
2. User Account and Authentication
Account Creation: To access cloud synchronization, automated backup, and multi-device access, you must authenticate your account using Firebase Phone Authentication.
Account Accuracy: You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your account information and ensuring that your mobile phone number is up to date and under your control.
Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your device and account against unauthorized access. DualBook is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your device.
3. Service Scope & Connectivity Policy
Local-First Functionality: DualBook follows a "Local-First" approach. You may view existing financial records and generated reports offline without an internet connection.
Internet Connection Requirement: An active internet connection is required to add, edit, or modify transactions, sync data with the cloud, or perform account verification.
App Integrity: Requiring connectivity for modifications ensures data validation, security checks, and proper cloud synchronization.
4. Financial Disclaimer & User Responsibility
Record-Keeping Tool: DualBook is purely a digital ledger and financial tracking tool intended for personal and small business record-keeping.
No Financial or Tax Advice: DualBook does not offer professional financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice.
Data Accuracy: You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and correctness of all entries, transactions, currencies, and records entered into the app. We are not liable for any financial discrepancies, business losses, or legal liabilities arising from your use of the app.
5. Advertisements & Third-Party Services
Ad Integration: DualBook may contain advertisements provided by third-party ad networks (such as Google AdMob).
Third-Party Links: Clicking on any advertisement or third-party link will redirect you outside DualBook. We do not control, endorse, or accept responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party services.
6. Data Ownership, Backup, and Deletion
Data Ownership: You retain full ownership of all personal financial data you enter into DualBook.
Backup & Recovery: While DualBook utilizes encrypted private cloud sync (Firebase) and Android Auto Backup (Google Drive), we strongly advise users to maintain personal backups of critical records.
Account & Data Deletion: You have the right to request permanent deletion of your account and all associated cloud/local data at any time via the "Delete Account & Data" option inside the app settings. Once deleted, this action is permanent and unrecoverable.
7. Intellectual Property Rights
All software design, logos, icons, user interfaces, branding ("DualBook"), and source code associated with the app are the exclusive intellectual property of the developer (Luminexy). You may not modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or distribute any part of the app without prior written consent.
8. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use DualBook to:
Violate any local, national, or international law or regulation.
Attempt to bypass, compromise, or alter any security protocols or app integrity mechanisms.
Automate spam entries or inject malicious software into the app's ecosystem.
9. Termination of Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the application or cloud services at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms or engage in fraudulent activities.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DualBook and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from:
Errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies in user-inputted financial data.
Device loss, loss of internet connection, or temporary service outages.
Unauthorized access to your account due to user negligence.
11. Changes to Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be updated on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
